Technology Test DriveThis service offers families the opportunity to borrow the latest personal FM systems and other equipment for their child to use in their own home and everyday settings and assess their effectiveness. The Ewing Foundation was approached to help run the service for NDCS. Drawing on his many years' experience working in the field, one of our Technicians assesses requirements, advises on appropriate products and arranges for their issue. He helps families understand how to use equipment most effectively, suggesting combinations for use in specific situations and assisting with any queries that arise during the trial period. If items prove beneficial, families may then be able to obtain them through their local Children's Services directorate. |
