The History of the Ewing Foundation
The Foundation was set up in 1952 to support teachers working with deaf children by keeping them up to date with the latest approaches and technology.
It continues that work today through its educational consultants and audiological technicians.
The advances in hearing aid technology over the last 50 years and the advent of cochlear implants and digital hearing aids have realised the Ewing vision that nearly all severely and profoundly deaf children can lead happy and productive lives as part of a hearing world.
