The Foundation actively seeks out opportunities to work in partnership within a multi-agency context.
Current partners are from education, particularly SEN, health and social care.
The consultants have on-going academic links with a number of university departments and the technicians have links with a number of hearing aid manufacturers.
Pan disability initiatives
The Ewing staff team work closely with colleagues within special education. They have strong, on-going links with a wide range of voluntary organisations concerned with childhood disability.
They work very closely with DELTA and the Elizabeth Foundation. More details of their joint work is described in a leaflet "Now We're Talking"
The Foundation was a lead organisation in the DfES Early Support Work. The pan disability and the deaf specific materials were published in July 2004.
Government initiatives
The Foundation seeks to work with schools, support services, LEAs, SEN Regional Partnerships and voluntary organisations to further the Government's agenda on SEN and Inclusion.
Staff work with a very wide range of professionals to forge the multi-agency links which underpin the thinking behind the SEN Strategy and the Children Act.
Consultants are actively seeking opportunities to work within the emerging structures of the Children's Services and the Children's Trusts.
